Easy Diabetic Meals and Diabetic Meal Plans
Easy Diabetic Meal Planning
Welcome to DineWise! I am Chef Craig Noche. I am a Type II diabetic and a member of our Advisory Board. I would like to give you a quick tour of our Diabetic Meals food section.
If you have been recently diagnosed for diabetes or you are looking for more information on diabetes management for a friend or family member, I recommend reading our Diabetic Content web page. This page provides a complete explanation of how DineWise can help you maintain a diabetic lifestyle. It is full of valuable content because constant education is an important part of any diabetes meal planning process. Please feel free to bookmark this page and refer to it as often as you like.
A Quick Start to Diabetes Food Management
I'm one of those people that tends to read the directions after something doesn't work. Please don't feel like you have to do hours of research to get started right away. DineWise has done a masterful job of organizing all of the diabetic meals for you. Since our Advisory Board has done all the weighing and measuring (calories, fat, carbs, sugar, fiber and protein) for you, DineWise has made it easy to help manage a diabetic lifestyle without being a nutritional food expert. Here are some brief descriptions of the categories in our diabetic meal sections to help you get started quickly:
Simple "Heat and Eat" Diabetic Meal Plans
This is the easiest place to start. We have numerous diabetic meal plans for you to choose from. Some are breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal plans and some are lunch and dinner only. There are even two 3 Day Diabetic Meal Plans for those that want to try a plan and see how our diabetic meals improve blood sugar levels. Some Diabetic Meal Plans Are on Sale and some come with free meals. We tried to not duplicate any of the meals in diabetic meal plans so you can experience a full menu and help you decide exactly what you want to reorder on your next visit.
Diabetic Chef Selection Meals
These meals are generally served as diabetic dinners. Of course they can be lunch too but they are comparable to a meal to you would order in a restaurant. Chef Selections are individually packaged by entree, side, and vegetable.
Diabetic Complete Cuisine Meals
These can also be lunch or dinner. The difference between Chef Selections and Complete Cuisine is that these are all individually trayed meals. This makes them easy to travel with and take to work. DineWise trayed meals can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
Diabetic Breakfast Meals Our diabetic breakfasts are also trayed meals that are easy to travel with and take to work. Maintaining an inventory of diabetic breakfasts is a healthier alternative to grabbing something like a bagel (double the carbs you should have per meal) or worse, fast food, on the way to work.
Diabetic A La Carte Meals
This section offers entrees, sides, and vegetables from our Chef Selections in quantities of four. Say you love Chicken Parmesan and Herbed Salmon but can make you own sides and vegetables, then this section is for you.
Nutritional Mix and Match Meals for People with Diabetes
As the demo shows below, you simply pick your entree, side, and vegetable and create all your favorite diabetic meals! Nutritional information such as calories, fat, carbs, and protein are shown for each diabetic meal you create but you don't have to weigh and measure unless you want to. DineWise is all about giving you the most meal choices. Any Mix and Match Meal you create will fit into a healthy diabetic lifestyle.
Diabetic ExtendBars® Snacks
These diabetic snacks are actually quite amazing. Personally, they keep my blood stable all night long when I have one as an evening snack. I love waking up with low blood sugars so I don't have to work out before going to work.
Soup and Salad Toppers for People with Diabetes
The Turkey Black Bean Chili is exceptional, hearty, and full of fiber. Read The Importance of Salad and try to add more salad to your diabetic diet. We also added four packs of prepared entrées that would turn your salad into a meal. Try our Grilled Chicken Breast for the perfect grilled chicken salad.
If you are new to the diabetic lifestyle and calorie cutting or proper portion sizing is new to you, I highly recommend picking up some of these medical grade protein shakes. These will fill you up between meals and they are quite tasty.
If you are buying for a person with diabetes and don't know what they like to eat, a DineWise gift certificate is a perfect choice!
